Treated Unfairly at The Cambridge Bryanston
I want to express my unpleasant experience regarding The Cambridge Bryanston Apartments which I now resides at. I was supposed to move in on the 16th March which I got charged a pro rata for it. Which didn't happen because I was told by security that I wasn't on the given list for new tenant moving in. However I completed the move in forms, so I had to move the arrangements to move in on the 20th March because I couldn't move in over the weekend. Monday I still checked with the agent she confirm that I was sleeping to move in on Saturday it was approved by the Estate Manager. However when we arrived with the moving truck on the 20th March they didn't let us in based on the same issue that led to not moving in over the weekend. I was still not on the list and was denied access. We were made to wait on the side. I called my agent she was surprised that why wouldn't they let me in. She asked that I call the Estate Manager who they confirmed he's unpleasant to deal with. However I was new and didn't know him must or had an interaction with before. I also tried calling him, he didn't pick up, I asked security to try call him, not sure what his response was but we eventually let in. Then I had to arrange for access to go in and out. I tell you that was a mission too. I eventually got to meet the so unkind and careless Estate Manager. I did my finger prints and on the residents form they ask how many people will be occupying the apartment I included my daughter and her details. I couldn't do her finger prints then because she goes to school in Pretoria. I waited till school holidays. When I asked to book an appointment with the Estate Manager because one needs to book an appointment before. I was asked to complete the resident form which she was included in. Now I was told I need to complete hers in order to get booked an appointment for her to gain access. Today because it's almost month end, I received an invoice with the new Rental amount that I wasn't aware of and it's not stated on the contract. From R8 600 to R9 200. When I queried it, I was told Its for Affluent and Arears charged. When did I accumulate arears when I only moved in on the 29th March? And doesn't the Affluent added in the contract as an added fee which one is made aware of before signing and committing to it? The communication with the Estate Manager is non existent. Which I don't understand why would the Estate appoint individuals who doesn't like working with people or aren't interested in helping people because I think that's what the job entails if not they must be human enough to refer you to the relevant people atleast. I went through some reviews here, from the people who had different complains. Seems like the issues is still the same, Management who doesn't care and unfortunately you will still be referred back to the same people with that kind of attitude. That is my 2 weeks experience so I guess I'm still in for a ride.
