My worst online shopping experience so far

I ordered a pair of shoes from this store, under the pretense that they have my size in stock, and that my order will be processed immediately, if I make an immediate payment. The company had a facebook page, a website that looks legitimate, and advertises on Instagram. I had no reason to expect that the company does not hold to their promises. It is more than three weeks later now and each time I make an enquiry, they respond that they will look into it. Now im just ghosted. They sent me a photo of tracking details, but that parcel was definitely not coming to me, as its destination was a completely different town. I am completely speechless, as this has never happened to me before and I buy almost exclusively online. I have no alternative but to take this further. Unfortunately, I did not do my research before ordering from a "new" store I havent ordered from before and I feel angry at myself for not being more aware and do my homework first. This definitely learned me an expensive lesson and only time will tell if sometime in the future my "expensive" shoes will arrive.
