No Service wedding venue

A beautiful venue however they provide absolutely no service. We booked our wedding with them, after seeing the venue and being wowed by the staff. We were only allowed 2 meetings with our co-ordinator, all our notes we gave during the meetings were not adhered to, on our wedding day the co-ordinator was nowhere to be found, she was never on hand and all our requests (after being agreed to) were denied. We opted for a "DIY" wedding as they called it, with no service providers, we assumed that the wedding co-ordinator would be there to help and co-ordinate but she was not. We ran terribly late and our ceremony started an hour later than scheduled. If we had known that the co-ordinator is in fact nothing more than a bookings agent, we would have arranged more help. They served alcoholic champagne to the non-alcoholic guests, after being given a colour co-ordinated seating chart of where the guests were sitting, my guests approached us about this and when we approached the venue, they **** to us about this saying it was not true. Our photo shoot got rained out and the venue will not allow us back to do another shoot without paying them an additional R4000 for the use of the venue for a shoot. When we approached the venue about all our problems on the day, we were told that the co-ordinator does not in fact co-ordinate and she is not there to help in any way or ensure that the bride and groom are happy and looked after. They also blatantly **** about everything we advised them of to make us look like the fools. They were belligerent, rude and insulting in all the communication thereafter. They refused to take any responsibility or apologise for all the problems we experienced. We were also told that if we want something from them, we should approach them in a different way and not by presenting problems, they also tried to go behind the bride's back to the groom to tell him that her emails were unacceptable, this in fact enraged the groom even more. The attitude displayed by the owner and his staff is morally reprehensible and we were disgusted by their replies to us, it is a sif they got their money out of us so they do not owe us anything and will not apologise for the terrible service or disgusting treatment of the bride and groom. They acted as if what we requested was too much for them to deal with after we were promised that it would be done the way we wanted. We were also told that it was unfair of us to have non-alcoholic guests and it was unfair of us to tell the venue that the bride had a life threatening allergy and that their staff were panicked because of this. We will not set foot in that venue ever again, nor will we recommend it to anyone we know. Please do not go to this venue as you will be **** to and not receive any service that was promised before the day of your wedding.
