Why bother opening? No stock, no service, no manager

Went for dinner in kleinmond harbour at The Boathouse...self-proclaimed burger & grillhouse. Ordered drinks, which took a while to come and then proceeded to try to order...ribs...out of stock...pizza...no bases...opted for burgers, one of which was kiddies burger. After an hour, 3 of 6 meals arrived...kiddies burger looked good. Then, adult burgers were nowhere to be seen. One finally arrived...a bacon & cheese burger...not what we ordered although the waiter tried to offer it to us anyway cos that's what he punched in?! No thx. One minute later, the plain adult burger arrived without cheese and bacon, looking exactly like the kiddies burger. Odd. 10 mins later we asked where the blue cheese and fig burgers were...only to be told that they're out of figs and have gone to get some...it'll only be about half an hour!!!! There was only one other table in by the way...dead giveaway. We said we wouldnt wait half an hour, just bring without figs...then another 2 kiddies burgers without blue cheese either arrived?! One was stone cold, the other was warm...possibly microwaved? We asked for the manager...we were told there was no-one in charge. Clearly. Meantime, our waiter was totally ineffective and offhand, spilling wine all over the menus when pouring, and bringing 3 serviettes for 6 of us, no straws and telling us we can't have a glass of tapwater due to water restrictions. We asked for the bill...and paid for what we ate...3 out of 6 meals. But not the extra lemonade that found it's way on to the bill. Total waste of time and money. Apparently the owner was called and on way. Like we were gonna wait for that. Real disappointment. If you can't deliver, dont open and fleece paying customers of their time, money and holiday memories.
