The "Extremely Petty" (Belfry) Kitchen

As a bit of background to this review: my husband and I lived in Twee Riviere for a year and frequently visited the Belfry Kitchen for milk, bread, and occasional meals. The service is slow, but it is understandable due to the nature of the establishment and the kitchen... And then this last Sunday we packed up our house to leave. My parents (who are the nicest people) were there to help us. During the morning my husband received a voice note from the owner/waiter, stating that my family are no longer allowed on the Belfry premises. My husband didn't tell us immediately, he first went to talk to this person who has been his "friend" for years, to find out what exactly the issue was. Apparently my father went into the glass walled mill room on a previous visit (over a month ago now) which is "out of bound" (not that there are any "no entry" signs on the unlocked doors). The rest of the family didn't see him go in or out, no one from the institute spoke to him when it happened. If they had approached him, he would have apologised. He didn't know it was a private area. He had seen the mill being put together over the year while visiting us. He is a retired engineer and he was interested in it... So if you're ever in the area, please avoid the Belfry Kitchen. Chances are you'll be extremely unsatisfied with your visit. The food is great, but everything else about the place is unaccommodating to everyone besides themselves. If you do go in, you'll probably be given a flyer asking you not to tell anyone about the place because they don't actually want your business... (PS to the Belfry Kitchen: it's a pleasure keeping people away - I know how often you've said that you're not "for the public". How about you take your Google listing down and put up some proper signage?)... My dad was extremely hurt, as was our whole family. Honestly the most unbelievable treatment after we thought we had developed a relationship with these petty people.
