Taking Advantage of Pensioners

<p>My grand mother is a 67 year old who has a severe back problem and saw the need to look for a bed that will assist with her sleepless nights and back pains. She then approached The Bed Shop in Kroonstad late 2014 and purchased a Sleep O Peadic Super Firm Dynamic Bedding hoping that this will be a solution to her problems, since it was so well advertised on tv to assist with sleeping problems. She bought the set cash for R4449.00. She then experienced that both the mattress and base were sagging soon after the purchase. She went back to the shop to request a new set as the bed was still under warranty. They requested her to pay an additional amount of R1400 for her to get new complete set back. She did so and later experienced the same problem. She has now paid a Total of R5849. She went to the store to complain for the second time about the new set that just arrived and they saw the need to bring her only a new base which she refused and turned back as she was now fed-up and wanted her money back. The lady at reception by the name of Thea Schrage took her original slip to fax it to their regional office in Welkom and did not return the slip for R4449 back to her , without being aware she left the shop and now she denies ever taking the slip from her and her manager by the name of Klass refused to refund my grand mothers money back. I find this very repulsive that they left this matter to continue for so long. The is no need for The Bed Shop to bring her a new set as they did twice already and the problem still persisted. My grandmother is having sleepless nights on the bed that she paid R5849 from her pensioners pocked only because they refuse to give her money back so she can go to a more accredited and reliable store to find a bed that will assist her with her sleeping problems. Please assist with this matter and stop this shop from taking advantage of old pensioners that have no voice, this is sad and has went on for too long. </p>
