Boris in the base.
I recently bought a house and have all certificates to show that the house was treated for termites and Boris. I purchased 3 x rest assured pocket base sets from the bed doctor based in Springfield on 27th Nov 2023. The receipt states I have 2 yr guarantee and 15yr warranty. I contacted the store telephonically on the 11 July 24 and spoke to Sandra reporting an issue with one of the bases. My daughter heard noises coming from her base and she had to slit the base to confirm the noise was definitely coming from the base. My daughter found dust at the bottom of the base which looked like Boris dust. Also the wood didn't look like it was treated for Boris and also didn't smell like it was treated. She then sprayed Doom and the noise stopped but started again after some time. I had to remove the base from the house as I was afraid of the Boris getting on to my built-in cupboards. Sharon asked me to contact customer care services on WhatsApp, which I did and only got a response 2 days later after I called again. Chanel from customer care was assisting me. She said to me that the they won't replace the base as I cut the base. So I explained to her that my daughter had to do this in order to confirm the origin of the noise. I asked to speak to someone more senior as Chanel didn't know what she was talking about. She mentioned that if the base came with the Boris from the store we would have noticed it when they delivered. She didn't understand that the base is completely sealed and nothing would show unless you cut a hole. Her manager Suvashnee contacted me after a few days and I had to explain to her the issue and asked her to send out someone to assess the bed. A guy Viven came through from a pest control company and checked the base. He did confirm that there was dust/dropping in the base. He then proceeded to check only one of the other bases. He didn't give me feedback as to his findings. I contacted Chanel after a few days asking for an update with regards to my complaint and she informed me that they won't be replacing the base and that there's nothing wrong with the other 2 bases. And that there's minimal dust in the base that I removed and it's no fault on there side. I want them to explain to me how this dust appeared in the base and they need to explain the crunching/gnawing noise that my daughter heard. I would also like for the bed doctor to provide a certificate showing the wood used in their bases are treated as that's what was mentioned by Sandra and Chanel. The bed doctor shouldn't mislead the customer by not providing documentation of the treatment of the wooden.. I also want them take the bases back and replace them as I am unhappy with not having proof of the wood being treated. Very disappointed with the service that I have received from The bed doctor.
