CHECK ALL FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE BEFORE BOOKING
I have been a regular customers at the Barnyard Cresta for about 11 years. There has always been a room available for those who smoke. Tonight I arrived about 30 minutes before the show commenced and went for a cigarette to the usual room only to find that it was laid up with food and the \Smoking Area\" sign had been removed. When I asked if the Barnyard had changed it's policy on smoking I was advised that it had not but that they were using the room for a corporate booking for tonight only. No mention of this was made on their website when I booked. I was advised that I could smoke in the adjacent underground car park. This is of course against the law and there are signs in the car park to this effect. Firstly why does the management of the theatre not deem it wise to say at the time of booking that there will not be a smoking facility but more importantly why do they think that they can advise patrons that they can break the law with impunity? Had I been advised that there was no smoking anywhere in the theatre on that day I would have booked for another day. In addition I had already bought a bottle of wine for R150 which would have cost about R50 in a bottle store. "

We have noted your complaint and suggestion and we will recommend to the Theatre that in future if the smoking room won't be available on a particular evening it should be communicated to the patrons or a note on the website.
Apologies that you were also not able to smoke in the underground parking lot, I am sure this was a miscommunication and we apologise for that, at the open parking lot just one floor up from the Barnyard you are able to smoke and also in the adjacent underground parking lot - but just outside the entrance booms - would also have been acceptable. We will also advise our staff members to state more clearly the smoking area options that are available around the centre.
We assure you of our best intentions at all times and we apologise for the inconvenience this caused you.
