****** in Menus

<p>The Armory pizzeria in Stellenbosch has pizzas on its menus with nmes like Mussoloni, Adolf (as in ******, Hiroshima (see screen shot attached) and Anne Frank. While the direct links between ovens and burning and pizzas may be unintential, the use of these names for any reason is quite inappropriate. I have been messaging the pizzeria through Facebook, and pointed out that pizza names like Anne Frank, ******, Mussolini and Hiroshima (and perhaps Panzer) are very problematic because they reference WWII, genocide and massive destruction; many of the pizzeria patrons are still traumatized by family histories tied to this. A lot of work has been undertaken over the past 70 years by way of reparation, apologies, reconciliation and the like, but this does not mean that people are insensitive to the references to these terrible events. The pizzeria promises to change the names by the end of this month (October) so this note is just to create a record - I think though that the name change should be immediate.</p>
