Appliance Doctor - TOXIC BUSINESS TO AVOID!

Appliance Doctor should be avoided at all costs! Wish there was a rating option for zero stars. They advertise free quotation for appliance repairs - no indications of costs on their website. Once they had my appliances at the store, they claimed that they had to do an assessment and demanded an "assessment" fee should I chose not to have them do the repairs. At the same time, they quoted incredibly high costs for repairs e.g. over R5000 for replacement of a hinge and PC board - these are both cheap, mass produced items. Might as well buy a new appliance. I was in touch with a so-called Team Leader called Robben Chiz. Customer relations is definitely not a strong point here. Robben was rude and aggressive. I guess they feel that once they have your property they can do as they please. No help of any kind from management either. Multiple attempts to get hold of someone via their call centre yielded no results and it seems their modus operandi is to divert and avoid until you give up. Only a threat to lay a charge of theft with the police against Appliance Doctor let me get my appliances back. By this time, the writing was on the wall and I knew what to expect. My appliances were delivered maliciously damaged and scratched. Save yourself a similar experience - DON'T USE APPLIANCE DOCTOR!
