The Appliance Doctor - USELESS
Absolutely useless! They try fixing my dishwasher with no knowledge of it, demand payment and whe I complained about the same problem and ask for a refund, they just ghost me. Do not use them, no knowledge, no ide what they are doing!

Don't use The Appliance Doctor
I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I contacted Appliance Doctor because my Samsung dishwasher wasn't taking in any water. They came out the same afternoon and told me the problem was that the circuit board needed to be replaced. The following day they returned and charged me R3,400 for what I was told were replacement parts. When I asked to see the old parts, they didn't appear to be circuit boards, but rather parts in the dishwasher. After completing the repair, the dishwasher did start filling with water again, and I was asked to make immediate payment, which I did without hesitation. Unfortunately, within 20 minutes my **** called me because water was leaking all over the kitchen floor. It turned out the waste pipe had been damaged or was not fitted correctly during the repair. I phoned Appliance Doctor immediately, and they acknowledged the problem and said they would source a replacement waste pipe and come back to install it. That was on 25 June. Today is 13 July, and despite numerous phone calls and WhatsApp messages, I have still not seen anyone. Every time I get the same promise: "tomorrow." Tomorrow never comes. What disappoints me most is not that something went wrong—mistakes can happen. It's the complete lack of after-sales service and accountability. Once payment had been received, there seemed to be no urgency whatsoever to honour their workmanship or resolve the problem they left behind. Good service isn't measured by how quickly you can collect payment; it's measured by how you look after your customers when something goes wrong. Sadly, Appliance Doctor has failed completely in that regard.

Rough Service, Poor Results – Avoid
Couple of thousand rands charged to replace an oven thermostat that costs R100–R200 and takes 10 minutes to fit. The original problem was food burning at any setting. After his “repair,” the oven couldn’t even defrost or cook properly — it took 4 hours at maximum heat to barely bake ****ins. When called back, he only tested voltages, did nothing else, and then claimed the oven wasn’t designed to bake ****ins. He was rough with the appliance throughout. I’ve since ordered all the parts myself — elements, thermostat, selector switches, and cut‑outs — from Lategan & Van Biljoens for less than a third of what he charged. I’ll fix it properly. Very professional‑looking website, but don’t be fooled. Overpriced, careless, and dismissive. Avoid this service provider.

A company called Appliance Doctor which I believe is imitating the real appliance doctor quoted on a job to fix a Bosch Microwave. The numbers called were *** and ***. The technician came out and quoted on what needed to be repaired was paid R2680 for a new inverter for the bosch and has since not returned to fix the inverter. When called he maintains that he has been twice but has not, asks for a pin location even though he has been there before. the email address is *** which belongs to another company called City Appliance Repairs and their contact number is totally different. Has anyone had any run in's with this company as I need to lay a theft/***** charge at the police.

Stay far away if you want your appliance to work again
Terrible service and empty promises from these fly by nights. We called them to come out to put a rubber back into a washing machine, which is only 2 months old. After dismantling almost the entire washing machine, they show a rubber with a hole in it, doubtful it was already there, then charged us extreme amount for the part. They came out to put the rubber in and left... the machine still is not working and they made promises they will come and sort it out. The machine after they have been there does not look new anymore either. They are now avoiding my calls and not answering any of my WhatsApp's. Lets not forget to mention their arrogant rude attitudes. Please avoid these people, their webpage looks fancy but I warn you now, they are not. Stay very far away from them.

RUN AND HIDE
After 2 x call outs for repairing my generator without any success all communication stopped from their side giving me the silent treatment. I have tried for 3 x days to get them and do the repair properly for which I already paid where they could not bother to respond at all -TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN! The worst service I have experienced in a long while - technicians(if u can call them that) didnt even have propper tools with them. BE AWARE THESE GUYS ARE NOTHING ELSE THAN ****STERS!
