Claiming to have flats and ***** people's money.

There are people around Pretoria who claims to have flats, advertise them on the internet, ask the victims to deposit cash into their accounts to secure the apartment and then disappear into thin air.<br> <br> This is what happened to us:<br> <br> We were moving from Cape Town to Pretoria and desperate to get accommodation ASAP. We looked online for flats around Pretoria and found the followings:<br> <br> [URL Removed]<br> <br> [URL Removed]<br> <br> Annette @ ***, STEPHAN @ ***, HOPE@ *** <br> <br> We were asked to make the deposit in order to secure the place since these people claimed that they in Limpopo for a weekend and the apartment will be secured by the first person to make a deposit.<br> <br> We were sent a lease agreement document which looked legit , after the deposit we never got to meet the flat owners.<br> <br> The lease agreement document has : THANDABANTU CIVILS branding. The deposits were made to Capitec Bank.<br> <br> I would like to appeal to my fellow South African to avoid being Victims, A case has already been open.
