The Stirfried Cashew Episode

Monday's are usually Thai Monday's for us, so while living in Seapoint Thai Cafe was our fave, we did not receive one bad meal and the service was always impeccable- so naturally after moving house into the burbs we gave Thai Cafe in Rondebosch a bash. The first experience wasn't great, the food was very oily and not up to the usual high standard of Thai Cafe, and also the general laziness of the staff took us by surprise. But today we thought to give them another go, and what a mistake. The general mood was lethargic and the ventilation was unbearable, but the cherry on top was when we got home and opened up our package we were so disappointed to realize that our two orders of Chicken Cashewnut stirfy was in fact beef and there was not one single cashew nut in either of our portions!! I mean -it's the title of the dish! So, we won't be flocking there again. We will have to find another Thai Monday spot to make our Monday's happy again.
