Bad Experience with Thabo J Custom Designs

I had a terrible experience with Thabo J Custom Designs and would strongly advise anyone to be cautious before ordering from them. I placed an order for a headboard with pedestals and a shoe rack, which I fully paid for in June. It took almost an entire year for me to receive my order. Throughout this period, I was repeatedly promised delivery dates that were never kept. Every time the order failed to arrive, I had to be the one to call and follow up — there was no communication from their side whatsoever. By mid-October, after months of empty promises, I had to send a letter of demand just to get a response. Even then, they ignored me until I mentioned that I would involve the police. Only after that did they start working on my order — and then expected me to fetch it myself in Grahamstown, even though I live in Port Elizabeth. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is extremely disappointing. The staff, especially the two ladies who seem to manage day-to-day operations, were *********** and unhelpful. While I can admit that their furniture designs are attractive, they are not worth the stress and frustration that come with dealing with this business. They are not trustworthy, do not deliver on their promises, and provide very poor customer service. Overall rating: 1/5 — Never again
