This 4-star hotel is not safe!
We had a workshop scheduled at this venue for Feb 26-27, 2018. I checked in at approximately 20:30 on Sunday 25, 2018. To my disgust, I woke up to the realisation that I had been ****** whilst asleep at this hotel. My laptop had been snatched from the workspace next to my bed - and so was the laptop bag that was at the foot of the bed.
I called the reception around 06:00 to notify security - and no security pitched up until I made noise to walk into the leadership workshop that was held on the premises on the day. They only made a call to the police around 11:00. Particularly I single out the GM Operations, Taryn Porteous who I think is the most *********** Head of Operations in her dismal failure to see the gravity of the situation - but rather opted to see me as a guest as making allegations against her establishment. The same goes for Rogan Sutherland, who is Head of Security - who I felt was out of his depth in handling this matter.
This is the last place I would recommend to anyone who cares about their safety. I am still disgusted by the treatment I received at this hotel..
