Pathetic service and unsafe

<p>We booked to stay at this establishment from 9-11 Sep 2016.</p> <p>We paid the full amount due as was required before arriving.</p> <p> </p> <p>On arriving late afternoon on the 09th we we notified by the owner that the unit we were booked to stay in (Eland) had been broken into the previous night.</p> <p>We were not called by either the agent or owner before arriving to tell us they had broken into the place.<br />We drove all the way there 250km one way only to then be told this at 17:30pm in the afternoon.<br />We refused to stay there as our safety was in jeopardy and they made not attempt to secure the place with a security guard.<br />The security gates were still broken, and we were just told to lock the door..... seriously after they broke the security gate and gained entry..... we must just lock the door... so they can come back again and even better less difficulty to get in now.</p> <p> </p> <p>We then had to drive back home another 250km's - wasting our time and petrol!!!!</p> <p>And then they refuse to refund us our full deposit after they inconvenienced us, and could not have the common decency to contact us prior. If we had known the situation we would not have driven all the way there in the 1st place.</p> <p> </p> <p>Pathetic service, do not stay there!</p> <p>I have taken this up with Where To Stay which was the site were we found this establishement, and they have confirmed that they are cancelling their subscription with them due to them refusing to pay back the full amount due to us.</p>
