POOR WORKMANSHIP AND REFUSAL TO REDO WORK

This company did some Tar work at my residential premises on 22 March 2022. They tarred my driveway. Upon completion my husband and myself had to point out spots where they needed to touch up and areas which had to be filled... A week later, after the work was done, we noticed tiny pieces of grass surfacing. We notified Gilbert(the owner) *** and *** and Kelvin ***, whom we have been in contact with and were told that they will come around but, we have to give them some time as they busy at another site. On 13/4 when following up with them again, we were by Gilbert it's not his problem. My husband then called Gilbert and he told my husband that he must fix the problem himself and that he shouldn't call again. This is very disappointing as this is a business and we did this deal in good faith. We received a quote for work done and were given a discount but, yet we paid the the full amount which was quoted initially as we felt pity on them as their business, according to them wasn't doing so well. We are very disappointed that they are now refuse to take responsibility for their poor workmanship and I would just like to alert people potentially wanting to do business with them. I have an invoice from them and all voice and whattsapp communication with the two ******. We were very hesitant in using them and when they said that we can pay the deposit on the day they arrive, we gave them the benefit of the doubt to do the work. Please just be aware of them.
