Tessa's saved the day!

Good day

I just really need to thank Tessa's Bakery for saving the day Saturday 20 October 2018.

My mom, husband and I decided to have a little family get-together for my little girl's first birthday at a restaurant close-by. We were going to bake our cake the day before. Our oven was actually not fit for baking - somewhat broken, and our cake flopped!

Pressed for time and desperate, my husband and I walked into Tessa's looking for a cake, knowing it was too late to order a custom cake. We were hoping to perhaps see a beauty and buy it. There were 2 delicious looking cakes, but not with the birthday wow-factor we were looking for. We decided to go somewhere else to get a rainbow cake or something.

Before we left, however, we were tempted by the little pies and carrot cake, so we bought some to sample. As Mushlene was ringing up our goods, I started telling her my story, of how I'm so bummed that I didn't just ordered a cake earlier because the mock-ups in the store are SO nice. She asked me when this event is that I'm talking about and I said "Sadly, today", knowing it's a lost cause. She asked me if I'd mind - she'd like to just ask at the back and hear if they can do something for me... I thought I heard wrong, and said "Oh yes, no I don't mind!" I was surprised and excited when they said they will decorate an existing cake for me, and I can pick it up later...

My husband collected the cake, and it was gorgeous!! It was beautiful, with the colours they asked me about. It made the day so much more special and the cherry on the cake, so to speak, - it was DELICIOUS!
