The company does not have an official website and does its company email using an email account (***). A red flag in itself. The promise was pay R2k and get R28k in return. How did this deal end up where I paid approximately R4m and got nothing in return ? There was fee upon fee to be paid. The types of fees I found very confusing. Some examples are pass code fee, payment to secure payment, cash delivery fee, blocking fee, authorisation fee, interest conversion rate fee, fast processing fee, et. al. I had no way of knowing if the fee was appropriate or reasonable. All I know I paid what I was asked to pay. By this time, the payout was $2,4m and the fee was R1.16m. Remember I was investing R2k for R28k. So how we got to these numbers I could get no clear answer. The fact that English is not the 1st language of the agents I was dealing with, added to the frequent misunderstandings we experienced. When I was asked to pay R1.16m, I said I wanted to opt out. Seems like there is no opt out clause. If you opt out, you lose everything you have paid, or you pay the fee over which you have no say.I repeatedly said I could not pay R1.16m, and the agent came up with a plan that I would pay R580k for a payout of $760k. With some effort on my part, I got a loan of R**** on my house. I informed the agent that there would be no money for another fee after this one had been done. He said that he understood. Once I got the money, the agent fed the money into the system and told me the system wanted another R580k, seeing as it was Dec and people were finishing up their deals. So there I sat, I had paid R580k, R132k and R68K to close a deal that was not going to be paid out. All the agent said was (no sorry), that's what system wants and that's that. A database activation fee of R15k and R580k was required to carry on. I said I had exhausted all my lines of credit and would not be able to pay. Now he wants me to deactivate the deal. Once again does that mean I get some of my cash back or do I walk away with nothing ? I find this kind of deal very unfair. Pay what we say or lose everything. How can that be fair. Affordability does not feature in this deal at all.
