Unfair charges and ********** activity!

I booked a car for the weekend 5-8 July. On arrival at CT airport and collection of vehicle, it was already 8pm and dark. A vehicle inspection was done with the use of a cell phone light, which isn't that bright. The vehicle was fine and no incidents occurred. Upon returning the vehicle I was told that there was a "cut" in the left front tyre that was about 2-3mm situated in one of the letters. This would not have been detected at the inspection as it was barely visible to the naked eye in broad daylight. When checking my credit card statement, to my horror, a charge of over a thousand rand was deducted! can you please explain this??? Added to this, soon after I provided my credit card to the rental office at the airport, Uber charges and attempted purchases were being deducted due to ********** activity. I do not use my credit card frequently at all, so someone at the offices gave my details to a syndicate! needless, to say, my weekend was filled with admin and inconvenience...
