Tempest hound me!

I used them in the beginning of 2020 for the first time when my car went into a panelbeater. They asked if I wanted insurance and I asked if it would it cover everything and they assured me it did. I had it for a short time and they said they would collect it from a panel beater. Then called me to say there was a mark in the tyre. (Never have had that in my 40 years of driving) Anyway I rushed down there, they showed me and asked me to sign proof of it. I said as I left, thank goodness I took insurance. 6 months later while I was on furlough from my job, I got an email saying I owed money. I was gobsmacked, so many months later and I was jobless. I explained that I took insurance and they said it was a shortfall and I had to pay. I said listen to the phone call!. A year later they say, as I signed for it I was liable and that took precedence over phone call of offered insurance!!! What despicable tactics!!
