Tempest Car Hire rental - Credit Cards

I posted a negative review on Tempest Car Hire, South Africa previously due to s car being hired through TravelStart and paid for only to find that on arrival at King Shaka airport, Durban I was told that they would not hand the car over to me because Europcar / Tempest only accept Credit Cards (not Debit Cards) I explained that in all the years of hiring cars, including international car hire I had never experienced this before, and they deducted the cost of the rental from my Debit Card. After posting the previous review I was contacted by a Tempest Representative who told me they were going to investigate however I still have not had any feedback even after following up with Tempest! I requested a refund which Tempest refused so the LESSON LEARNT for all is check in particular the small print on whether debit cards are accepted when hiring rental cars. to avoid being "**********"
