Tempest car hire is the worst car rental service to deal with
Absolutely trash car hire service. I hired a car in September and another vehicle scratched the rental, the scratch was so small, but I let them know thinking that there would be some kind of protection for me as the customer who was not at fault. I gave them the details of the driver who admitted fault and no one has tried to contact her or her insurance to claim for the damages but they have charged me the full amount of the damages and the admin fees. My deposit of R3750 still hasn't been returned to me!!!

21 Jan 2025, 13:59These guys sent me a ****ty email, and thereafter no one has bothered to update me on anything, it's now 3 months later and I still haven't received my deposit back. I honestly did my best to do everything the right way by reporting the "accident" to the police station and this rental place thinking that they will provide some protection for me as the client who was not in the wrong but they only care about *****ing money from clients. I am so upset because the scratch wasn't even bigger than 5cm but R3750 of my deposit is still being held by these people who refuse to contact me with updates. Stay away from Tempest, they will ***** your money
