Tempest car Hire hoax

I hired a car online from Tempest. My plans changed. On arrival I extended the number of days I would rent the vehicle. Fortunately I asked what my rate was, they increased my rate from R369 per day ro R492 per day. The response from the call center agent was that this is their company policy. By then they had already taken my deposit off my credit card and could only return my deposit after a few days.

The kicker for me was the manager ANel Moodley, absolutely linear in his thinking and an absolute lack of willingness to do anything.

Another customer walked in, she wanted to change her car. She mentioned her mother just died, zero empathy from Anel, he in parrot like fashion was advising her. I would never deal with this illogical team ever again. Terrible service.
