Avoid Tempest like a virus!

I hired a vehicle in Cape Town for four days during which Tempest debited (ie charged) my credit card in the amount of R5942.75. At the time, I was told by the agent that the hire amount of R1950 would be allocated to the debit and the remainder (some R4000) would be returned to me within 3 banking days ie today. The money has not been returned so I called Tempest where I was told that 'the car was only invoiced two days after its return and that I would probably have to wait a total of 8 days before the funds would be returned. I feel that this is an ********* **** and therefore this is a car hire firm to be avoided.
