Appalling customer service - Car Tempest pay back my deposit!

I would like to express my disgust on horrible customer service and unprofessional treatment from City Tempest Car Rental, Address: 111 Marshall Drive, Mount Edgecomber, Durban; Mobile: ********** .

On the night of 10 Jan 2019, I hired one of their vehicles (a white VW Up) for 4 days at King Shaka airport. I paid R3,500 cash towards the deposit as I was informed that the head office had already closed to take card payments. I informed the gentleman that I would want my deposit back in cash when I returned the car, and he said that wouldn't be the issue. I would like to place it on record that I was given an empty (fuel) car.

I persistently contacted the agent who attended me, at ********** on daily basis to establish if the deposit issue is resolved with head office and he kept on coming back to me for the duration of my visit in DBN.

On the morning of the 14 Jan 2019, I called at about 07H30 on the very same number to inform him about the drop off and my deposit. He indicated that he will send someone to bring the deposit and fetch the car.

The driver came to fetch the car with the deposit amount of R1,000 instead of R3,500; meaning that CityTempest still owes me R2,500. I returned the car in the same condition that it was in when I hired it; with additional petrol in it, half tank to be precise.

Since I arrived in Cape Town I've been calling to request the remainder of my deposit till to date. I have been given false promises that I must check tomorrow, then tomorrow given another false promise. Two weeks has elapsed since my vacation in DBN and I have been requesting my deposit back. For the past 4 days or so my calls are ignored; my SMSes are not answered but are read; Voicemail not returned.

I'm highly disappointed and disgusted by this unprofessional treatment and disservice.
