Unfair installment practices

I am a customer from Teljoy, a company you rent to own items..the contract is for 3years per item. In 2019 I rented 3 items from them a fridge, bed and tv with the aim to own them end of the 3 year term. The fridge was to end in February, Bed in May, and Tv Oct 2022.

In 2019 i lost my job but my husband continued to pay for the account.Though it was tough due to one salary we incurred arreas but he kept paying monthly regardless. Early this year January we had a problem with the fridge which we asked them to fix and we were told to pay off all the arreas on the account for them to fix it, we paid off all the arrears,we did that knowing February we are one item off the list and 2 to still pay off. My husband couldn't pay the whole instalment of 1500, for the 3items end of February. However we did not get ownership but we knew we needed to pay the arrears to do so. To my suprise they kept adding the full amount of the fridge into the account until May when we started complaining, only then they gave ownership. But never wrote off the amounts they kept adding. The bed was to end May but because of arrears from additions of the Fridge we couldint pay it off that contract time line was May but they still added the bed with the TV from May until last month when i complained..i was told again i will get ownership of the bed i should pay all the arrears off. But the arrears escalated because they still added full installment and not just insurance to the account. I asked them to give me letter to show ownership I was told that customer service will only give me the ownership of the other two items when i pay off everything.

When i asked why the items were added until now I am told to pay 1500 from the 3 249 then the account will be paid up.

Please help me with this predicament, i want yo pay off my account still willing to do so but i think unfair practices were app**** in this matter and my concern i could have been paying more than i owe.
