Shocking service from collections! ***** do not use them
So I’ve been a customer at Teljoy since 2018, always payed on time and supported them through the years. Fast forward 2020 I got retrenched and I still continued to pay Teljoy. I was owing then R7000 in total but they have now since escalated it to R16000 even after explains and sending pictures of the explosion that happened in my house that cause the appliances to be damaged in February 2022. I have made an arrangement with them and I payed R5000 to them last month since I only started working in September but I don’t understand how we are listed on the ***** database for furniture? I’m struggling to even open a bank account or do anything because of this listing. I have called and begged Teljoy but a lady by the name of Selina Dube is very very rude and offers no assistance or empathy to customers.
If I had the appliances I would’ve returned them but they were damaged and pictures sent to your collections department as proof yet the money doubled with charges! Fine I’ll pay it off but how must I make a living to pay you without a bank account and if I can’t open one?
A lawyer needs to investigate Teljoy because a ***** listing is not a joke particularly for a person like me who always communicated her situation with you guys! I have an 8 month old and I can’t even earn my salary into my bank account because it’s closed and blocked!
As our team has explained, Teljoy reserves its right to list unpaid accounts with the South African ***** Prevention Services (SAFPS) when we fail to recover our legal property at the time of the listing, notice of this intent is documented and record shows was sent to you, two months before the mentioned explosion.
We will need to receive payment in order to assist further - the team has communicated with you in this regard.
