Repeated Unauthorised Debit Attempts – Ongoing Poor Service

I am once again raising serious concerns regarding Teljoy’s practices and lack of proper communication. This matter has supposedly been “escalated” for months, yet the billing errors continue. After giving proper notice in November 2025 and returning the product in December 2025, I was incorrectly debited in January 2026 and only refunded after numerous follow-ups. Now in February 2026 Teljoy attempted to debit my account again. The only reason it failed is because I contacted my bank and placed a stop payment. How is this still happening if the issue was escalated and resolved? March is literally around the corner should I expect another debit attempt then too? At this point your verbal assurances mean very little.I also specifically requested written communication for record purposes but was told Teljoy would “rather call”instead of email or WhatsApp. That is unacceptable. Billing disputes require a proper paper trail. This entire experience has been exhausting and unnecessary.

If these unauthorised debit attempts affect my credit record in any way, there will be serious consequences, and I will immediately report this matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities.

I find it quite amusing that Teljoy is able to send me messages at this hour about admin fees, yet for months you have failed to do your job properly. This matter was supposedly “resolved” and escalated, yet you continued attempting unauthorised debits, which forced me to place a stop payment with my bank. Now you want to charge me admin fees for a situation that only exists because Teljoy failed to correctly close and settle an account that should already have been finalised. It makes no sense that you want to bill me for something that was already supposed to be resolved. You cannot claim the issue is closed while still attempting debits and then charging fees when I take steps to protect myself. The account was returned and settled, and I will not pay any admin fees for Teljoy’s mistakes

Please accept our sincere and unreserved apologies for the continued billing errors and the frustration this situation has caused you. You are also absolutely correct about written communication. Billing disputes require proper documentation. It was inappropriate for us to insist on calls after you specifically requested written correspondence. We apologize for not respecting that request. Going forward, all communication regarding this matter will be provided in writing for your records. We take full responsibility for this experience and the breakdown in process and communication. Thank you for your patience despite the repeated errors. We are committed to ensuring this is resolved properly and permanently. our account department will contact you

I’m no longer interested in your apologies , we are past that point. The only correspondence I want to receive from you is that this situation is resolved and no further debits going off on my account. It’s beyond ridiculous , it’s been 3 months and whenever I call in I get a whole different story every time ! I say again the only correspondence I want from you is that this situation has been resolved.

We acknowledge your message.
Please take note that no further debit orders will be processed on your account. The debit instruction has been stopped on our system.
Going forward, payments will need to be made via EFT only. No automatic debits will run against your bank account.
This serves as written confirmation of the above.
