Payment contract extended (extra month)

After paying 36 month contract, I enquired about the goods being released to my name. I received an email from Triphinha Matjia regarding final payment for ownership of my rent-to-own goods. Why should the contract be extended to the 37th month? I have fully paid for the goods for 36 months as per contract agreement.
