Please can you assist me.
I am having the worst time with a company called Teljoy. The first incident accrued in the first 5 months with them. I did a inquiry to change my banking details from Standard bank to African Bank, which they stated they don’t accept African Bank cards. I told them its fine and to leave it as it is. Month went passed and they never deducted and charged me twice with a penalty the previous month. When I enquire about what is going on, they state that my payment type has been changed to cash payment. This was done without my consent and yet they kept me liable for it. Second my laptop gave in and we send it for repairs and now they have different stories. They told me because the charger was damaged I am liable for the damage on the laptop which doesn’t make sense as it is two different things, the consultant told me there is a fee of R450 +- to fix it because the charger has been damaged. They send me a quote on Friday the 29 November 2019 with the amount of R4908.42 to get it fixed now. How can they change the cost so dramatically? I am sure they are trying to do us in. I haven’t skipped one payment except the time they messed up and tampered with my information. We are close to the last pay date on the laptop and think they trying to get more out of us since we only have 3 months to go. This is also the first time we send it in for a repair.
