Delayed application process

Customer of 16 years made an application for a new bed on Sunday an called in today for a follow up and was told they were going to try process from the 9th of December to make sure that the debit goes off, which means I'm probably out of luck till Jan as the agent told me ordering the beds take time. Now for the debit order that was on me but was resolved but I find is such a poor excuse for this delay.
