Decline applications for fun
They just decline applications for fun, what does credit history have to do with a month to month subscription? are you a credit provider or rental company?

This is impacted not only by payment to Teljoy but by all one's payment history.

14 Apr 2022, 09:24So it is fair to say you work the same way as traditional credit providers, you decline a rental of R200 on the same day i was approved for a car that cost R8000 a month, you shuold revisit your affordability assessment process.

Not necessarily: we do not provide credit to customers. Consider your vehicle approval as a bulk loan that has been provided to you upfront, with the goods, plus interest. We do not provide this, nor do we include interest in our rentals, only the unit is provided, provided that the instalment is paid in advance (and is a month-to-month, with no contractual tie-in). Our affordability assessments focus solely on whether a customer will be able to pay monthly, for their rental.
Please also bear in mind, that when you have just "pinged" your credit scorecard (as in this instance of purchasing a vehicle) your score reduces as you have made a major purchase. If you apply in three months' time it is possible that the rating will be higher.
