Bill Rising With No Functional Device
I don't even know where to start because I've been telling this story so many times to so many people that left me to hang and dry. But to sum it up, I have a Sony Playstation 4 that hasn't been functional for close to 2 years now. I've reached out to Teljoy on so many occasions and nothing was done, until a collections agent by the name of Kwena Mojapelo came into the picture. Made an arrangement that I pay my arrears amount in full and then the device can be collected for repair. I did that, and months later, the device was collected for repairs. The device came back, and it was still not functional. Months later, I spoke to gentleman called Busani, who was basically telling me that the device is working because that's what he was told by the repairs company, and wanted nothing with me, as his customer, telling him that the device was never fixed. Eventually, he became rude and sent out an empty email about how he has managed to speak to me. I had to send out an email to correct him because in our discussion he told me that the non-functional Sony Playstation is now my problem and I have to take it up with Sony. Anyway, Kwena managed to convince him to dispatch a service call for the device to be collected for repairs in November 2020. The device was collected in November and 'till this day, I have no device but my bill is stacking up since I stopped paying because clearly Teljoy is not delivering from their side. I've been involved with about 3 debt collection companies allocated by Teljoy for my account, and all 3 of them have been removed from my account, with no feedback to me after I let them know what the situation is. I have to be the one chasing Teljoy for feedback because if I don't call, they don't and the bill goes higher and higher. Now recently my account was handed over to DealFlow for collection. Today I spoke to Elma from DealFlow and she informs me that the case has been handed over to Teljoy so it's not with Deal Flow anymore. I spoke to Lerato from Teljoy collections on the 18th March to get my side of the story, and even now, I have never received any follow up communication from Teljoy.I have to be the one chasing up again. Not sure how this issue will get resolved, but I'm ready to meet in court because I'm not planning to pay that R4000. I've been patient for far too long and this thing is affecting my credit profile. You will be hearing from my lawyers soon. Thank you.

I've realized that I only get responses when I post on Hellopeter because when I email I get no responses, and when I call I get empty promises. The matter was decided that I will pay R1600 and the account would be closed and the Playstation 4 will remain with Teljoy. I paid the R1600 and forwarded the POP to Saya Debt Collectors on the 26th June. They forwarded emails to Portia Ntshotsho and Chozann Bell requesting a paid up letter, confirmation that the account has been closed and a date when Transunion is usually updated. I sent a follow up email on the 5th July, no response. Called on the 6th July, Portia Ntshotsho said Chozann will send me the email with all the information by close of day by the 6th July. Waited and didn't get a mail. I sent an email yesterday 7th July, and no response. And chances are, I'm not gonna get a response anytime soon. This lack of communication is what got us here in the first place because when I communicate, there's always excuses from Teljoy on why they couldn't communicate back. But when it's time for Teljoy to collect, they always manage to get hold of me. This is unfair. Can you please close my account as agreed and update my credit profile. Please send me the paid up letter because I stuck to my end of the deal. Thank you.
