Bait Marketing = False Advertising

Teljoy uses bait marketing on Facebook to attract potential customers. Section 30 of the CPA prohibits bait marketing. In terms of section 30, a supplier must not advertise goods or services as being available at a specific price in a manner that will mislead or deceive consumers in relation to the actual availability of those goods. This morning I wanted to apply for a Hisense bundle as advertised on Facebook, but the Teljoy agent told me that unfortunately that special is not availble. Then it should not be advertised on Facebook! False advertising!
