Attacking email and response of no customer service to be expected
I have been writing a review on Teljoy every month and have been explaining the same facts over and over. The issues starting at the beginning of my contract where Teljoy did not explain the fact that I will be paying 2 instalments in the first month. I then managed to sort this out (or I thought I did) by making an arrangement to pay the first pro rata share of the rental of over 3months. The first instalment however was not deducted due to Teljoy not updating the bank details correctly - an error on THEIR side. After wasting my time again by phoning them to correct this - it is ridiculous that I have to phone them the whole time to sort out THEIR errors. The next month Teljoy disregarded the arrangement totally and deducted 2 payments - my monthly rental and the total pro rata outstanding amount on which we made an arrangement. This amount was not allowed by the bank as there was no agreement for Teljoy to deduct this amount. The rental for that month however was paid. Currently I have R 70 that I still owe on the initial pro rata amount. I then had to apply for credit and it came under my attention that Teljoy listed my account as 30days in arrears. HOW is this possible as I have never been in arrears with a whole months rent. I did owe them an amount - for part of a month- but an arrangement was made on this amount. HOW do Teljoy make arrangements but they cannot keep to their arrangements? I have wasted a lot of money and time to try to get this sorted out at the credit bureau. After more than a month I realised that TransUnion is still not updated and I emailed the PA to the CEO - who agreed to get this sorted in the beginning. She just rep**** that the error was on Transunions side and not Teljoys. According to me the error would never have occurred if Teljoy did not send the incorrect information in the first place and thus this still being Teljoys fault. After communicating this to her I received a very hostile, rude and even attacking email from Teljoys Collection Manager. She stated in her email that my complaints is outrageous and that TransUnion do not have Teljoy listed on my account. By this she is explicity saying I gave the incorrect information even if I have this on my credit report? Furthermore she stated that I did not pay my September rent as the debit order was not allowed. This is completely untrue as the only debit order that was declined was the 'arrears' amount where Teljoy did not keep to their arrangement. She attacked me by stating that I cannot complain about Customer Service if I am in arrears and that at date of the credit report I was more than 30days in arrears. How can Teljoy be so *********** that they cannot even get the correct facts. I have paid my rent every month and thus it is impossible to be 30days in arrears. She went as far as to tell me that I cannot complain as I owe them money. This email was very uncalled for and unacceptable. She imp**** that I do not have any rights to expect customer service? Thus even if I have an arrangement they are stating that I cannot expect any service. I have never came across a service provider being so hostile and even attacking me. I will lodge my complaint every week to warn other customers what Teljoys policy is regarding customer service. It has been a week since my last complaint and I have had no feedback from Teljoy who think it is right to treat a paying customer this way.
