TELESURE AND NEDBANK INSURANCE NOT PROCESSING MY CLAIM

The complaint below was addressed to Nedbank Insurance and Telesure via email: (Claim No: ***)

I am writing this formal complaint against Nedbank Insurance and Telesure for their incompetency in handling my claim. The pointers about my claim are jotted down below. Kindly read the previous email as well to give you the timeline and full understanding of my claim.

My claim was registered on 08/01/2024 and till today, nothing has been done.

Although AssessTech which is a Nedbank assessor took the damaged TV and provided Telesure the damage report and the replacement value of the LG TV almost 3 weeks ago, Telesure failed to process nor do a cash settlement on my claim.

Telesure refused to provide a cash settlement of the amount of R24,999 which I had to provide a copy of a policy wording stating that it is my choice on how I want this claim to be settled.

After providing Telesure with the policy wording rule, they now moved the bar to not having information on my policy, covering the damaged TV in question and advised on Saturday 20th of January 2024 that they have to email Nedbank and confirm. Which I thereafter provided confirmation of coverage to Telesure and requested my insurance relationship manager to communicate to Telesure upper management team namely Tamlynn, Franci, and Shevaun to resolve and make aware of my claim that was handled in a poor manner.

Soon it is going to be the 4th week and Nedbank as well as Telesure have failed to finalize such a small claim. It raises serious questions being an executive client and being insured with the Nedbank for more than R3.5M if they can perform their mandate as my insurer in line with treating their client fairly and the multiple acts governing the financial service industry.

Further to this, I have provided all the necessary documents such as photos of the damaged TV, the invoice for my TV, a copy of the assessor's damage report, and the price of a new LG television.

There are no other reasons why Telesure nor Nedbank cannot process and continuously prolong this claim since everything that they need is provided.

As discussed in the email below, I am a Nedbank employee who is permanently disabled and seek the complaints department to intervene before I lodge a complaint to our CEO Mike Brown and the Ombudsman.

This claim has been ongoing beyond reasonable limits after Nedbank and Telesure received all requirements on their possession for weeks and counting.

Please contact me as soon as possible.
