Negligent assessments

On the 27 of Jan I had a water pipe that burst in one of my bathrooms. An assessor finally showed up on the 31st of January to assess damage. Response from the insurance company was that the assessor alleged that I had no grout in my bathroom so they do not feel it is warranted to honor my claim. I disputed this then they sent out a second assessor on 10 February. After having to write a review on HelloPeter I finally got a call from Dial Direct 18 February to tell me that they will only cover me for just over 2k to replace part of the ceiling that was opened to fix the damaged pipe. I am not sure how they imagine that it will cost that amount to replace the entire ceiling as it's Isoboard which comes in long panels, in addition I had sound proofing and insulation in the roof. The upstairs tiling has come loose and according to Dial Direct, the assessor stated that it's wear and tear - this bathroom was renovated in 2018 not sure what wear and tear there could possibly be. Kindly also note that I have not claimed for damage to any of my household contents my only interest is in the integrity of the structure of my home. The upper floors are wood and I fear that the structure has been compromised. This is my first claim under my building policy and I find it beyond appalling. I will be reporting this to the Ombudsman.

To correct myself the incident happened on the 25th not the 27th. Based upon your assessors findings I have not really sustained any damage to warrant having my ceiling and tiles replaced. Kindly note that I have photos of water logged mattress, bedding, etc. yet according to your assessment there is no way my ceiling was damaged. It was the finding that my soundproofing in my ceiling has caused the ceiling to be warped in several placed. The question I have if there was no damage as a result of the burst pipe in my ceiling how did my entire bedroom get to be underwater with water gushing from all the down lights in my bedroom? The soundproofing is fixed to the wooden structure and the only thing laying on top of the isoboard was the insulation. IsoBoard high density is 32-36kg/m³ rigid, so what would the weight of isotherm insulation really have caused my ceiling to sag in places? I would like a scientific finding not one based on mere observation weeks after the incident. Unless your people actually removed parts of my ceiling how can you accurately assess whether or not the contents of my ceiling is waterlogged or not? I have it improbable that there was no damage caused by a pipe that burst flooding 2 stories. What I would appreciate is having a flooring and roofing specialist inspect the damage.
