Pathetic Service in Bethlehem CBD!

What a disappointing service I had on Saturday, 17 April 2021 with Tekkie Towns store in the Bethlehem CBD!

I went to return a pair of white Adidas and the clerk, Julia, said that one of the shoes was damaged, even though clearly the color of the shoes’ ‘tongues’ differed. The person I bought the shoe for, didn’t even fit them, because she disliked the green accent color.

The regional manager, Sonja, was called and they agreed that I can exchange the pair.

When I asked the clerk if I can exchange the R700 pair of shoes in the Tekkie Town in the Dihlabeng Mall (where I originally bought the shoes) she REFUSED and I was left in the store where I wanted NOTHING and FORCED to buy R700 worth of product that I will likely never use. She also refused to let me leave the store with the shoes and return them in another store where I WANT to exchange the shoes for something that suits my style and needs.

I think this behaviour is pathetic and infringes my right as consumer to buy things that I want/need and not be bul**** to buy something in a certain store.

Should the clerk have given me the opportunity to exchange my product in a Bethlehem store that had product that I wanted, I would have been happy.

I wouldn’t support Tekkie Town again in the near future.
