No authrority at branch / Dont care attitude
My 12 year old daughter bought a pair of Converse shoes at this branch about a month ago. A week ago we realise that the Converse wording and painting and designs have started smuding. This after only a month. The shoe has been worn on weekends only and not been exposed to water or any liquids. When we took it to the store, the unhelpful staff were more interested in trying to proportinate blame onto my 12 year old rather than helping her. This after she had paid for this shoe with her own saved money. They were almost insistent that that she had washed the shoe already. Whilst we tried to explain to them that we hadn't, it then begs the question that if she had, why wasnt everything on the show smudged and not just that small part only. They refused to consider a swap for the shoe - all they were interested in was taking a photo of the show so they could What's App the picture to some non existent area manager who would maybe consider if it was worthy of a swap. Excellent customer service mannerisms towards a 12 year old. This shop and staff have no concept of what true customer service is This 12 year had potential to be a lifelong customer. They have destroyed any hope of that.
A full investigation will be launched to compile all the necessary facts. The matter is receiving our urgent attention.
Tekkie Town do have policies in place in order to avoid abuse of our replacement procedure, and therefore it is necessary for the above investigation to run its course, before we can replace the shoes* (*this is not to be construed as a commitment to replace the shoes). Unfortunately there need to be some parameters within which a retailer have to deal with this kind of matters.
