Garbage shoes garbage service

I bought a pair of Jeep shoes for my father at Tekkie Town at a Sale. Upon purchase I said I was aware that I'm unable to return 2 of the 3 pair of shoes I bought as they had defects and were bought at half price, but the 3rd pair was paid for at full price. The lady at the till then assured me that the 3rd pair could be swopped or refunded as it was not part of the sales shoes.

My dad had the shoes that was not on sale (JEEP brand) for about a month and only wore it a couple of times when we noticed that the leather was rotten. The leather started to peel and wither, although he's never been near any water with the shoes.

When we tried to return the shoes to exchange them, we were informed that they will not exchange the shoes, although they were not part of the shoes on sale and even though the lady that assisted previously assured us that they are able or exchange/refund shoes that were not on sale.

I'm highly upset as I paid almost R1000.00 for the shoes only to find out the leather is rotten. I'm not going to leave this here. I want it sorted out ASAP.

I had such a bad experience I shall never advise anyone to purchase anything from Tekkie Town. It's proof that they sell "old" stock with deffects at a over rated price.

Utterly disgusted.

So someone named Laureka from head office phoned me. She was extremely helpful and friendly as well as understanding. I know she did everything she could from her side to help me. Unfortunately I still have an unresolved problem.

I am extremely dissapointed to say that after they investigated the shoes they refused to swop them for another pair, as apparantly the shoes were marked 50% off due the the leather being faulty. The problem is, that it was not noted anywhere that the shoes were marked off due to being faulty. It was not even noted that the shoes were on sale. So we were under the impression that we were buying a perfectly good pair of shoes at full price while Tekkie Town was fully aware we were buying a faulty pair of shoes at an immense price we would never be able to use.

So I've decided to log a complaint at the Consumer Protection Act and I shall make everyone I come in contact with aware of how awful the products and service Tekkie Town supply are. I shall also contact JEEP and inform them that Tekkie Town is giving their product an extremely bad name by knowingly selling their faulty product without the customer being aware.

I will never support Tekkie Town again as it's obvious they don't give a damn about customer satisfaction or the quality of the products they supply.
