Buy shoes without looking at them

I went to the new Tekkie Town on the Hexagon in Queenstown today. I wanted to look at t a pair of Black Urban Art Shoes which where not on display. Before I could even open the box the sales lady shouted the I am not allowed to open the boxes. <br> <br> So I am not allowed to see the shoe or try it on before I buy it ???? How does that work?? Well done a new shop chasing the customers away.
