Packed with useful info on teaching strategies and lesson planning, but it’s also flexible

I just finished The TEFL Academy’s Level 5 Combined Course, and I have to say it was a great experience overall. The online part (168 hours) was packed with useful info on teaching strategies and lesson planning, but it’s also flexible, so you can move at your own pace. I especially liked the 10-hour in-person training—it gave me the chance to actually practice what I’d learned and get feedback. The tutors were really helpful, always available to answer questions and provide detailed feedback on assignments. One highlight was definitely the face-to-face session, where I got to work with peers and try out teaching in a real-world scenario. It really helped boost my confidence!

That said, there were a few challenges. The course is long, and balancing 168 hours of online work with other life stuff can be a bit overwhelming. Also, while the in-person training was super helpful, 10 hours felt a little short, especially if you’re someone who learns better with more hands-on experience. You also need to be pretty self-motivated for the online part, as there's no regular in-person guidance. Still, the pros outweigh the cons, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone serious about getting into TEFL.
