An enjoyable learning experience and useful introduction to teaching English as a foreign language

I was introduced to The TEFL Academy by a friend who had previously completed the course and is now teaching English in Vietnam. Encouraged by their very positive reviews and with a desire to complete the qualification myself, I was compelled to investigate more. I wanted to complete the course so that I could add another string to my bow, and to enable a different career experience. The course is designed in a format that suits learners of all types and can be completed at their own pace (within 6 months). When completing the course I was really impressed by the online user interface and learning materials. The course assignments are staggered, and learners are required to complete tests within each module, combined with more comprehensive and practical assignments that require longer preparation of lesson plans. These different testing styles provide a good opportunity to test one's knowledge and also provide good practical examples of what teaching will actually be like. Overall, I found The TEFL Academy course to be an enjoyable learning experience, and would recommend the company and course (168hr in my case) to anyone looking for a straightforward remote learning tool/qualification.
