An engaging and enriching experience.

Completing the Level 5 TEFL course with The TEFL Academy has been an engaging and enriching experience. In December 2020, I came to Brazil to start a new career in TEFL. However, after a week I realised that TEFL teaching is a lot more challenging than I initially thought. Realising that I needed formal training, I searched online for days for an affordable TEFL course. It goes without saying that I came across many 'courses' that promised much but did not deliver. Finally, I came across The TEFL Academy. In truth, at first, I was rather suspicious of the organisation as it seemed too good to be true. However, a quick search of Ofqual diminished my fears, and since starting and completing this course, I have developed into a confident and knowledgeable TEFL teacher and have been able to apply the knowledge I gained on this course into my lessons. To date, both my supervisor and my students have noticed changes in my approach(es) to English language teaching, where I have become less robotic/automatic and have become far more interactive, and have fulled a love of English language learning. Though I still have a ways to go I developing my practice I feel suitably trained and prepared to continue my career in TEFL.
