Salton Mist fan broken

We purchased a Salton Mist fan, model smf16, about 3 years ago, but it was only ever use during the summer months. So we were shocked, when we went to operate it last week, that the main head of the unit collapsed, leaving it unusable. We managed to see what the problem was, and asked the dealers, Living Brands Pty, if it could be repaired, as it was an expensive item. They cam back to us, and told us that NO spares were available, so it could not be repaired, so we have a large piece of junk in the garage.Very unhappy consumer.
