Rusting Microwave Oven

After having an Empisal microwave oven for approximately 30 years, an electrical surge damaged it. I bought a Russell Hobbs 20 L Electronic Microwave Oven, Model No. RHEM21L from Checkers, Riverside Mall, Nelspruit, in July 2016. I sent an email to Russell Hobbs complaining that the bottom of the door frame was rusting and that eventually I would have to buy a new microwave oven because, when the rusted paint fell off, the oven would not work properly and could even be dangerous. My first email was sent on 10th October. I received a reply on 3 November, after I had asked if they did not care about customer complaints. The Customer Care Manager apologised for the delay in responding, asked where I live so that I could be referred to the nearest service centre. Later she also phoned me and asked if I still had the sales slip and I responded positively and said I realised the one year guarantee had passed. As a pensioner I did not expect to have to buy a new microwave oven every two years or so, particularly as my previous oven had lasted for 30 years. I was told that a sales representative would contact me. That was a month ago, and so far I have heard nothing. I bought Russell Hobbs because I thought it was a good brand, but I am extremely disappointed, both in the product and in the attitude.
