Refund injustice

I had a Russell Hobbs kettle that had to be returned twice for repair and it was never done satisfactory. The cost of the repair was R143 and Home of Living Brands agreed to refund the cost of the repair. I provided them with my banking details and requested an EFT payment.

They in turn decided to pay by cheque without informing me - the bank charges for this transaction was a R30 cost to me! (making my refund only R113.

I contacted them and was told that it was done this way because it was the quickest way to refund me!!!

This is ridiculous as there was no urgency and an EFT has to be a lot quicker than writing a cheque and having someone go to the bank and make a manual deposit.
