Poor Products
We bought the above iron at Game Store at Trade Route Mall in Lenasia on the 26/04/2018, the iron started to give problems from the word go by sticking to the clothes, my wife mange to resolve that issue. On the 29/04/2019 the iron just stop working when we took it back to Game on the 30/04/2019 that is when we learn that the warranty has expire for the retail and we must register online for the 1 year extended warranty. I registered now in May 2019 and only to be told that they cannot process the extended warranty as the product was registered after 1 year more than 1 year since the date if purchase. Firstly we were not informed at the store that we should register online for the 1 year extended warranty online. We were only informed about the 1 year extended warranty as the retail warranty has already expired and we should register to have t 1 year extended warranty. I find it to be totally unfair for Russell Hobbs to inform us that they cannot process the extended warranty as we did not register for the 1 year extended warranty with in the year we bought the iron. What I find also very dishonest about their product is that just a few days after the 1 year warranty expired their product give in. Secondly not all of us has access to the internet and at the stores that are selling they products must asked the consumer if they have access to register for the online 1 year extended warranty. The stores should help consumers immediately to register when consumers buy Russell Hobbs products. To be honest the product that we bought was not value of our many and I really thing Russell Hobbs are ripping consumers off by wanting consumers to register online for the 1 year extended warranty. All we asked is for Russell Hobbs to replace the iron, we don’t want a refund we just want them to replace the iron.
