Please stay away from all Russell Hobbs products- THEY ARE BUILT TO BREAK!

In May of 2014, I bought a free standing 5 burner gas stove with electric oven from Game in Canal Walk. A few months after my warranty expired, the digital display caused electrical problems, and had to be overridden and disabled, as the part was no longer available.

Next went both thermofans, as well as the thermostat. A pricetag in excess of R4000 to fix.

Now I require a new regulator switch, as well as the wiring to ignite the flame (I currently have to use a lighter). Again, I have been waiting more than a month for a quote, as nobody can find parts.

I have now spent more on parts and repairs than what I bought the appliance for...

The most I got from Home of Living Brands- Russell Hobbs South Africa, was a number for someone I could contact for spares....

I also had a Russell Hobbs iron and stick blender, both of which I had to throw in the bin shortly after the warranty expired.

After posting on Facebook, it seems that many people are of the opinion that RH is ******* and unreliable with terrible after sales service.
